Job summary

ParetoHealth is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join the Analytics team in a high-growth environment. You will partner with Analysts, Data Scientists, and cross-functional stakeholders to tackle complex analytical problems, focusing on operationalization and scalable solutions.

You will report to the VP of Analytics and contribute to enterprise-wide data initiatives, emphasizing rigor, efficiency, and transparency.

Qualifications

• 5-8+ years' experience in a healthcare-based analytics role, preferably in the health benefits space/insurance industry, with a solid understanding of the US-based health insurance system
• Extensive hands-on experience working with administrative healthcare data (medical and pharmacy claims)
• Strong mathematical and statistical foundations, including familiarity with quantitative reasoning, distributions, rates, and variability as applied to real-world healthcare data
• Strong SQL skills, including building, optimizing, and validating complex analytical queries
• Advanced proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau
• Significant experience using programming languages, such as Python, for analysis and data wrangling
• Significant experience in data cleaning, validation, and exploratory analysis using large, complex datasets
• Understanding of analytical concepts, including descriptive statistics, cohort analysis, risk assessment, trend analysis, and causal thinking
• Strong analytic judgment: knowing which method to use, why, and when
• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative/analytic field, Master's (or equivalent work experience) preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead Delivery of Analytic Insights by translating priorities into analytic approaches
• Develop visualizations and clear summaries for technical and non-technical audiences
• Document methodologies, assumptions, and limitations for transparency
• Collaborate with Data Scientists and Analysts to support exploratory analyses and interpretation
• Drive business impact by identifying opportunities where analytics improve outcomes
