Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Finance Cost Analytics leader to support advanced patient cost analytics, predictive modeling, and data visualization. The role leads operational cost accounting activities across the network under the Director of Cost Accounting, focusing on cost allocations, dashboards, and data integrity.

The position requires 3+ years in leadership, 3+ years database development, and strong Excel/SQL skills; CPA/CMA/CHFP are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or relevant experience as determined by the company in lieu of bachelor's degree
• 3 years in a leadership or management role
• 3 years of database development
• 3 years with cost accounting
• Advanced Excel skills
• Ability to adapt to changing computer technologies
• Strong understanding of relational database structures, applications, and transactional systems
• Understanding of HIPAA compliance and privacy policies

Responsibilities

• Perform management responsibilities including hiring decisions, coaching and development, rewards and recognition, performance management and staff productivity.
• Organize and direct day-to-day operations; develop policies and programs; may have budgetary responsibility.
• Establish guiding principles for cost accounting across network entities; maintain cost center hierarchy and cost allocations.
• Provide direction to cost analysts on cost allocation rules and processes for fiscal years.
• Utilize SAS, Excel, Tableau, Alteryx to produce actionable reports and visual analyses for leadership.
• Develop business cases and support long-term operating strategies; prioritize capital purchases.
• Mentor and coach the team while pursuing company-endorsed education resources.
• Build collaborative relationships with hospital leaders to translate clinical activity to productivity metrics.
