Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking an experienced cost accounting leader to drive advanced patient cost analytics, including modeling and data visualization. You will guide cost analysts, establish cross-network cost standards, and enable informed decisions on capital investments and payor negotiations.

You will mentor the team, partner with hospital leaders, and deliver actionable insights using SAS, Excel, Tableau and Alteryx.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.
At least 3 years in a leadership/management role.
At least 3 years of database development.
At least 3 years with cost accounting.
Advanced Excel skills and adaptability to new tech.
Strong understanding of relational database structures.

Responsibilities

Oversee hiring decisions, coaching, rewards, and performance management in the cost accounting department.
Establish and maintain consistent cost accounting principles across network entities.
Direct cost analysts in generating cost allocation rules and annual cost data.
Use SAS, Excel, Tableau, Alteryx to create actionable reports for leadership.
Collaborate with hospital leaders to translate activity into productivity metrics.
Provide training on cost data usage across the enterprise.
Ensure data credibility and timely reconciliation in cost systems.
