Job summary

UNC Health Care is seeking a Senior Construction Project Manager to oversee complex institutional construction, renovation, and infrastructure projects within the UNC Health Care System. The role demands strong leadership, budgeting, and coordination across design, construction, and operations teams.

You will manage design/construction activities, ensure regulatory and policy compliance, and deliver projects on time and within budgets while supervising professionals and trade staff in a hybrid

Qualifications

• Ten years of progressive experience in construction project management, especially in institutional buildings.
• Five years in a supervisory or lead role.
• Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline.
• Ability to develop operating and capital budgets and cost estimates.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage operating and capital budgets for UNC Health Care projects.
• Develop concepts, programs, and budgets; present recommendations to Hospital Administration.
• Manage the Design/Construction function including CIP and facility improvement projects.
• Provide leadership and supervision for professional staff and trades supervisors.
• Coordinate interior renovation requests and plan delivery using in-house resources.
• Act as Owner's representative ensuring policy compliance and proper turnover to Operations.
