Job summary

Ajax Building Company, part of the STO Building Group, seeks a Senior Healthcare Project Manager to lead planning and execution of complex healthcare construction projects, including occupied hospital renovations, medical office buildings, surgical centers, and new healthcare campuses.

You will partner with owners, clinicians, architects and engineers to deliver projects safely, on time and within budget, while developing teams and ensuring uninterrupted patient care and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of commercial construction project management experience.
• Significant healthcare construction experience including occupied facilities.
• Proven success delivering large, technically complex healthcare projects from preconstruction to closeout.
• Experience leading projects within occupied healthcare facilities while maintaining patient care.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field.
• GC License preferred.
• Strong understanding of healthcare construction practices, ICRA/ILSM, utility shutdowns and occupancy transitions.
• Knowledge of AHCA regulations and healthcare building codes.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary project teams across budgets, schedules and procurement.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• Proven ability to mentor and develop project teams and build client partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and delivery of large healthcare construction projects.
• Provide overall project leadership from preconstruction through closeout.
• Develop execution strategies, staffing plans, and communication protocols.
• Manage project financials including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and profitability.
• Represent Ajax in communications with owners, hospital executives, architects, engineers, and regulators.
• Coordinate phased construction, ICRA/ILSM, occupancy transitions and temporary facilities.
• Partner with Superintendents to develop sequencing, logistics, and staffing solutions.
• Oversee procurement of subcontractors, long-lead materials and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with AHCA regulations and building codes.
• Mentor and develop Project Managers and engineers.
