Job summary

Ajax Building Company, part of the STO Building Group, seeks an experienced Healthcare Preconstruction Manager to lead estimating, budgeting, and planning for healthcare projects, including occupied hospital renovations, medical office buildings, and surgical centers.

You will partner with owners, architects, engineers, and internal teams to drive cost modeling, constructability reviews, GMPs, procurement strategies, and risk analyses, while maintaining patient safety and uninterrupted

Qualifications

• 7+ years of preconstruction or estimating experience within commercial construction.
• Healthcare construction experience preferred (hospitals, medical office buildings).
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead preconstruction services for complex healthcare projects from conceptual estimating through project turnover to Operations.
• Develop conceptual budgets, detailed estimates, GMP proposals, value engineering analyses, and cost models throughout all phases of design.
• Coordinate closely with owners, architects, engineers, consultants, and project teams to provide budgeting, constructability reviews, scheduling input, and cost guidance throughout design development.
