Job summary

Confidential Employer in Rockville, MD seeks an on-site Construction Superintendent to lead large, complex healthcare and commercial projects from planning to completion. You will supervise superintendents, foremen and trade partners, coordinating with project management, safety, and design teams to keep projects moving smoothly.

The role requires 8+ years in construction operations or a Construction Management degree with 5+ years of progressive supervisory experience, OSHA 30 and CPR/First Aid

Qualifications

• 8+ years of construction operations experience OR a bachelor's degree in Construction Management plus 5+ years of supervisory building construction experience.
• Significant experience leading field operations on large or complex projects.
• OSHA 30 certification and CPR/First Aid certification.
• Healthcare construction experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site field operations for large, complex construction projects from planning through completion.
• Direct superintendents, assistants, foremen, trade partners, and field personnel.
• Coordinate field operations with project management, safety, quality, and schedules.
• Develop, manage, and review detailed project schedules and look-ahead plans.
• Identify sequencing, constructability, and execution issues and resolve them.
• Build relationships with owners, designers, subcontractors and internal teams.
• Lead resolution of complex field issues and maintain stakeholder relationships.
• Enforce safety, quality plans, and applicable codes and specifications.
