Responsibilities

  • Lead on-site field operations for large, complex construction projects from planning through completion.
  • Direct superintendents, assistant superintendents, foremen, and trade partners.
  • Coordinate field operations with project management, safety, quality, schedules, and contractual requirements.
  • Develop, manage, and review detailed project schedules and short-term look-ahead plans.
  • Identify sequencing, scheduling, constructability, and execution issues with trade partners.
  • Build strong relationships with owners, designers, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Lead resolution of complex field issues while maintaining stakeholder relationships.
  • Enforce project safety plans, quality plans, and applicable codes and specs.
  • Identify project risks and develop practical contingency plans.

Pay: $134,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year

Note: Candidates must have either 8+ years of construction operations experience or a bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field plus 5+ years of progressive supervisory building construction experience. OSHA 30 and CPR/First Aid certifications are required. Healthcare construction experience is strongly preferred but is not listed as a formal minimum requirement.

Job Description
  • Lead on-site field operations for large, complex construction projects from planning through successful completion.
  • Direct superintendents, assistant superintendents, foremen, trade partners, and other field personnel.
  • Partner with project management to coordinate field operations, engineering, trade partners, safety, quality, schedules, and contractual requirements.
  • Develop, manage, and independently review detailed project schedules and short-term look-ahead plans.
  • Coordinate trade partners and proactively identify sequencing, scheduling, constructability, and execution issues.
  • Build strong working relationships with owners, designers, consultants, subcontractors, and internal project teams.
  • Lead resolution of complex field issues while maintaining productive relationships among project stakeholders.
  • Implement and enforce project quality plans, construction best practices, and applicable specifications and codes.
  • Establish and enforce site safety expectations and mentor field teams on company safety standards.
  • Identify project risks involving safety, schedule, quality, or field execution and develop practical contingency plans.
  • Review drawings, specifications, contracts, scopes, and other project documents for constructability and compliance.
  • Ensure accurate project documentation, including safety reports, quality records, field documentation, and required project paperwork.
  • Apply strong knowledge of building systems and construction methods to improve project efficiency and performance.
  • Utilize construction scheduling, project management, spreadsheet, and virtual construction technologies.
  • Mentor field personnel and provide leadership, accountability, and professional development across the project team.
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of construction operations experience OR a bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field plus 5+ years of progressive supervisory building construction experience.
  • Significant experience leading field operations on large or complex building construction projects.
  • OSHA 30 certification.
  • CPR/First Aid certification.
  • Strong construction scheduling and trade coordination experience.
  • Proficiency with construction project management, scheduling, spreadsheet, and virtual construction software.
  • Strong understanding of safety, quality control, contracts, drawings, specifications, and construction documentation.
  • Knowledge of sustainable construction practices such as LEED.
  • Proven ability to supervise field teams and successfully lead projects.
  • Healthcare, hospital, medical facility, or other technically complex construction experience strongly preferred.
