Qualifications

• Must have strong hospital billing experience from a medium to large healthcare system.
• Prefer EPIC experience.
• Remote position but allow office visitation when needed.
• Must reside in the greater Phoenix metro area.
• 2 years patient accounts experience or 3 years physician billing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Submit electronic and paper claims daily; monthly patient statements and corrections.
• Provide feedback to physician practice staff on data and demographic corrections.
• Coordinate with practice managers and PBS staff to meet daily submission benchmarks for AR and clean claims.
• Process daily Gateway EDI requests and reconcile to patient accounting submissions.
• Submit and receive 837 files from outside vendors.
• Manage payer file maintenance and notify physician groups of updates.
• Support development and improvement of internal billing controls.
