Job summary

The Ohio State University is seeking an experienced Clinical Applications Consultant to lead health system information technology initiatives. The role focuses on planning, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of integrated health system applications to support clinical, administrative, and patient care outcomes.

The position requires a college degree in a related field and six years of relevant experience in health system applications and IT.

Qualifications

A college degree in Computer Science, Healthcare, Nursing, Pharmacy, or Allied Health and six years of relevant experience in health system applications, information technology, and/or a healthcare setting is required.
Relevant experience may consist of a combination of health system operations and information technology responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Contributes strategic vision and serves as the top-level technical contributor for health system services in planning, design, development, implementation, functionality, and evaluation of integrated health system information technologies.
Coordinates and provides support for all new and current applications and software upgrades applicable to the health system.
Acts as a subject matter expert on health system application strategies, procedures, policies, and methodologies and provides direction to leaders and peers.
