Job summary

Freeport‑McMoRan in Morenci, AZ, seeks a Senior Supervisor Health and Safety to supervise and optimize health and safety programs across the operation, including incident investigations, hazard assessments and compliance with HSMS.

The role requires leading or supervising personnel, strong knowledge of federal/state safety regulations, and ability to mentor staff in risk assessment and corrective actions. On-site work with many safety protocols and on-site housing support.

Qualifications

• Leading or supervising personnel and/or projects.
• Experience in Health & Safety or related field.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coordinate and assess health and safety programs and field activities.
• Lead hazard evaluations, risk assessments and corrective actions with root cause analysis.
• Manage MSHA/OSHA/state mine inspector visits and document findings.
• Inspect work areas and address non-conformities to ensure safe work requirements.
• Support Safe Production through knowledge of applicable laws and site processes.
