Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan is seeking a Senior Supervisor Health and Safety to lead HSMS programs, supervise safety personnel, and ensure regulatory compliance at Morenci operations. The role involves incident investigations, hazard assessments, and coordinating safety activities with production and maintenance teams.

You will mentor staff, manage inspections, and apply federal, state and local safety requirements while supporting a culture of Safe Production and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Supervisory or lead experience in health & safety roles.
• Education per listed options (HS+7y, AS+5y, BA+3y, MS+1y) in Health & Safety or related.
• Strong knowledge of HSMS, incident investigations, hazard assessments.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate health and safety programs and field activities.
• Lead incident investigations, risk assessments, and root cause analyses.
• Manage MSHA/OSHA/state mine inspections and site compliance.
• Provide safety input for production and maintenance planning.
• Inspect work areas and address non-conformities to ensure safe work.
