Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan Morenci is seeking a senior Environmental professional to plan, organize, manage and evaluate environmental programs and systems under limited supervision. The role oversees air quality practices, regulatory compliance, and complex projects, coordinating with site leadership and external regulators.

The position requires strong project management skills, experience with environmental audits, and the ability to mentor teams while driving continuous improvement across the mining

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Environmental, Civil, Chemical, Agriculture, Mining, Metallurgical, Geological or similar) and seven (7) years of Engineering experience in Environmental Management, including Project Management.
• Master's degree in Engineering or related field and five (5) years of Engineering experience in Environmental Management, including Project Management.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, manages and evaluates the Environmental programs and systems.
• Develops, supervises and assesses environmental safety, compliance, remediation, and reclamation programs.
• Supervises air quality environmental practices for the site.
• Represents project teams to regulators and internal stakeholders.
• Maintains knowledge of Federal, State and local environmental regulations.
