Job summary

Joseph and Associates LLC seeks a senior-level technical consultant to provide engineering analysis and advisory support for HITU’s enterprise Health IT ecosystem, including the modernization of EHR environments and related technologies.

You will evaluate architectures, support modernization and interoperability, assess risks, and coordinate with program managers, system engineers, cybersecurity personnel, contractors, and Government stakeholders to ensure alignment with objectives and standards.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of enterprise systems engineering and Health IT environments.
• Experience assessing architectures, integration strategies, and engineering solutions within complex organizations.
• Strong understanding of system modernization, interoperability, cloud and hybrid environments, and technology lifecycle management.
• Ability to identify and evaluate technical risks and develop practical mitigation recommendations.
• Experience reviewing technical documentation and system design artifacts.
• Proven technical leadership and advisory support to programs, executives, and stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to communicate technical concepts effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert technical guidance and engineering support for Health IT systems, infrastructure, and modernization initiatives.
• Evaluate architectures and designs to ensure alignment with business, security, and performance requirements.
• Support modernization, integration, migration, and lifecycle efforts via technical review and advisory services.
• Assess risks, dependencies, and impacts related to scalability, interoperability, and performance.
• Review engineering documents, architectural artifacts, specifications, and vendor deliverables for completeness and standards compliance.
• Collaborate with program managers, system engineers, developers, cybersecurity personnel, contractors, and government stakeholders to support objectives.
• Identify and resolve complex technical issues affecting multiple systems or services.
• Provide leadership with recommendations on alternatives, design considerations, risk mitigation, and implementation approaches.
• Promote adherence to enterprise architecture principles and federal technology standards across Health IT initiatives.
