Job summary

Aptive is seeking a Technical Engineer to provide guidance and advanced technical engineering expertise supporting the IHSC Health Information Technology Unit (HITU) in managing and monitoring modernized Health IT programs.

This role offers technical oversight, analysis, and advisory support to ensure IT systems are designed, implemented, and maintained in alignment with operational needs, security requirements, and enterprise architecture standards.

Qualifications

• Advanced technical knowledge of enterprise IT systems, infrastructure and architecture.
• Ability to provide technical oversight and advisory support to leadership and technical teams.
• Strong communication skills to convey complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced technical engineering analysis and advisory support for IHSC enterprise IT systems and infrastructure.
• Evaluate system architectures, technical designs, and solution proposals for alignment with operational, security, and performance requirements.
• Support modernization, integration, and lifecycle management Initiatives across enterprise systems.
• Identify and assess technical risks including scalability, interoperability, performance, and sustainability.
• Review and validate technical documentation, system designs, and engineering deliverables.
• Collaborate with project managers, developers, security teams, and OCIO stakeholders.
• Support troubleshooting of complex technical issues affecting multiple systems.
• Advise leadership on technical tradeoffs, risks, and mitigation strategies.
• Ensure technical recommendations align with enterprise architecture standards and best practices.
