Job summary

Prestige Hospital System is seeking a permanent HIM CDI Coding Lead to manage our CDI program, coding operations and compliance.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in hospital coding leadership, DRG/APC auditing experience, and CPC/CCS/RHIA/RHIT certification; you will lead a team of coding professionals and collaborate with physicians to ensure accurate documentation and reimbursement.

Qualifications

5+ years in hospital coding leadership with CDI experience.
Strong DRG/APC auditing background.
Experience working with physicians and clinical teams.
Leadership experience and ability to develop a team.
CPC/CCS/RHIA/RHIT certifications required.
Excellent communication and analytical skills.
Proficient in medical coding software and health information systems.

Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of the CDI program and ensure regulatory compliance.
Conduct regular DRG/APC audits for accuracy and compliance.
Educate and train coding staff and clinical teams on CDI principles.
Collaborate with physicians to ensure accurate clinical documentation.
Develop and implement coding quality, education, reporting, and compliance initiatives.
Monitor coding accuracy and provide feedback for improvement.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding guidelines and reimbursement requirements.
Lead and manage a team of coding professionals.
