Job summary

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required in health informatics or related field; doctoral or clinical degree preferred.
• 10+ years in health informatics or related fields.
• Deep expertise in health informatics and interoperability, including guiding strategic, architectural decisions.
• Demonstrated expertise with FHIR and HL7 standards, including APIs and implementation guides.
• Experience designing, implementing, or advising on interoperable health data solutions.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior health informatics and interoperability SME to internal teams and clients across FHIR, data standards, and interoperability.
• Lead and advance Mathematica’s interoperability strategy including architecture, standards alignment, and capability development.
• Provide technical leadership on projects involving interoperable health data and digital quality measurement (FHIR-based).
• Guide translation and exchange of clinical/administrative data across EHRs and health IT systems.
• Mentor staff, contribute to business development, and represent Mathematica in standards forums.
