Job summary
Certified Technical Experts is seeking an experienced Integration / Interoperability / API Engineer to design, develop, and support health data integrations, APIs, message workflows, and interoperability services for Federal public health technology. You will work with informatics, data, and platform teams to enable standards-based exchange across systems.

Qualifications
- Minimum 8+ years in healthcare interoperability or API development.
- Strong experience with HL7 v2, FHIR, REST APIs, and healthcare data exchange.
- Experience with integration engines and messaging platforms such as Kafka or NiFi.
- Ability to design, validate, and test interfaces and mappings.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and support APIs, interfaces, and data-exchange services.
- Implement interoperability using HL7 v2, FHIR, CDA, REST and related standards.
- Support routing, transformation, validation, and error-handling workflows.
- Collaborate with informaticians and developers to translate specifications into implementations.
- Document interface specifications, mappings, and operational procedures.
