Job summary

Layer Health is seeking an experienced Integration Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable integrations with major EHR systems like EPIC and Cerner. You will troubleshoot data flows, validate interoperability, and create clear documentation for workflows and processes.

The role requires strong Python and SQL skills, familiarity with FHIR/HL7v2, and experience in cloud/SaaS environments. Excellent communication with clients and internal teams is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience working with healthcare data in analytics or engineering.
• Strong Python programming skills.
• Solid knowledge of SQL and interoperability standards.
• Experience with EHR integrations and cloud-based environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain integrations between Layer Health and various EHR systems (EPIC, Cerner, PACS, Cardiovascular systems, LIS, etc.).
• Troubleshoot integration issues and provide timely resolutions to ensure uninterrupted data flow and system interoperability.
• Conduct thorough testing and validation of EHR integrations.
• Create documentation to support integration processes and workflows.
• Communicate project status, issues, feedback, ideas, to various teams.
• Be proactive in communication with team members and clients.
