Lantana Consulting Group, Inc. seeks a Health Communication Specialist II to translate complex health information into clear messages for diverse audiences and to develop NHSN-related materials, training tools, and presentations.

The successful candidate will apply communication theories, plan and evaluate campaigns, and collaborate with subject-matter experts to produce accessible health communications. Remote work arrangements are offered nationwide in the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, business, or a related field.
• Six (6) or more years of experience in communications or another relevant field.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills, including ability to convey complex technical information clearly and persuasively to audiences with varying levels of technical understanding.
• Experience working with technical subject‑matter experts to turn technical language into clear and compelling proposal responses and documents.
• Background in public health or healthcare.
• Experience developing and editing written content about information technology in the healthcare industry.
• Experience creating communications for public-health or healthcare programs.
• Strong command of standard English usage, grammar, and mechanics.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, particularly Word and PowerPoint.

Responsabilités

• Apply communication theories and practices to plan and evaluate health communication programs and campaigns.
• Translate complex information into easy-to-understand health messages.
• Develop messages for science-based products and tools for diverse audiences.
• Collect program data and inform health communication strategies and partner engagement.
• Create NHSN-related materials, including plans, audience research reports, and training tools.
• Develop and present print, digital, and audiovisual materials for technical and lay audiences.
• Prepare talking points and presentation materials for meetings and events.
• Collaborate with staff and partners on health media production and strategic communications.
• Review and edit materials to meet program objectives and brand standards.
• Identify information gaps and opportunities and plan outreach efforts.
• Deliver presentations and participate in meetings as a NHSN program spokesperson.
