Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Senior Practice Performance Coordinator to drive provider performance and quality initiatives. This role supports the Practice Performance Consulting team, leads complex data analyses, and mentors coordinators while influencing strategic planning and execution.

The position is office-based with 2 days in the office and 3 days out in the field or home, offering opportunities to impact HEDIS, STAR, and Risk Adjustment programs.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of healthcare administration, quality improvement, or medical office operations.
• Experience conducting chart reviews and interpreting healthcare data.
• Advanced knowledge of HEDIS, STAR, and Risk Adjustment programs.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data visualization tools.
• Driver's License and access to reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct advanced chart reviews to identify documentation gaps and coding accuracy.
• Analyze provider performance data from platforms like Cozeva and DataCore to identify trends and interventions.
• Coordinate and lead logistics for high-impact provider training sessions and post-training evaluations.
• Maintain and enhance internal dashboards and databases used for performance tracking.
• Mentor and train coordinators, guiding best practices and quality standards.
• Collaborate with leadership to refine workflows, action plans, and strategic initiatives for HEDIS, STAR, and Risk Adjustment.
• Serve as a liaison between Practice Performance Consultants and other departments to ensure data integrity.
• Lead special projects on provider engagement, performance optimization, and regulatory compliance.
• Present performance insights to internal stakeholders and leadership teams.
• Monitor regulatory changes to inform practices and training content.
