NHS Ayrshire & Arran is seeking a Day Care Organiser to support the delivery of high-quality, person-centred day care for older adults within the Day Care Centre, the local community and individuals' homes.

You will coordinate daily operations, support care staff in delivering activities and care, and contribute to care planning, reviews and risk assessments, liaising with service users, families and professionals to ensure safe, engaging and meaningful care.

Qualifications

• Experience working with older adults or in health/social care settings is essential.
• Strong organisational and teamwork skills are required.
• Ability to work with empathy, patience and professionalism.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team at Aird Ferry Day Care Service

We are looking to appoint a committed, organised and compassionate Day Care Organiser to support the delivery of high-quality, person-centred day care services for older adults within our Day Care Centre, our local community and in individual's homes.

Aird Ferry Day Care provides a warm, welcoming and structured environment supporting wellbeing, independence and social connection. This role is central to the day-to-day running of the service and to ensuring service users experience safe, engaging and meaningful care.

As Day Care Organiser, You Will

• Coordinate the daily operation of the day care service


• Support and work alongside care staff in delivering activities and care


• Contribute to care planning, reviews and risk assessments


• Liaise with service users, families, carers and professionals


• Ensure standards are maintained in line with NHS Highland policies and Care Inspectorate requirements


• Support the smooth running of transport, meals and activities

You will work closely with the Service Manager and Senior to ensure the service runs safely, efficiently and compassionately.

Essential Criteria

• Relevant experience working with older adults or within a health or social care setting


• Strong organisational, communication and teamwork skills


• Ability to work with empathy, patience and professionalism


• Full UK driving licence (essential) and access to a vehicle (desirable)

Desirable

• Knowledge of day care or community-based services


• Willingness and ability to occasionally drive the service minibus (training can be provided if required)


• Willingness to work towards SVQ 2 Social Services and Healthcare (SCQF level 6).
