Job summary

Highland Health and Social Care Services is seeking motivated kitchen staff to prepare and serve nutritious meals for residents, following a six-week menu plan.

You will produce food using standard recipes, keep the kitchen clean and follow infection control standards. Shifts run a three-week rota (9:00–4:45, 9:00–4:00, 9:00–3:00) with weekend premiums and double pay on public holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience in working with people in a care setting.
• Ability to undertake any relevant training.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of dedicated Kitchen staff and

be involved in preparation, cooking and serving of nutritious meals and snacks to the residents as required following a six week menu plan.

To produce food using standard recipes’ in line with policies and procedures ensuring standards are met.

To maintain a clean environment and comply with infection control standards.

The shifts follow a three week rota working hours 9-4.45pm, 9-4pm and 9-3pm on a Tuesday. There is one weekend working in the three weeks for which successful applicants are paid 44% enhancement for Saturday working and 88% enhancement for Sunday working. Public holidays are paid at double time.

Applicants should have experience in working with people in a care setting. Ability to undertake any relevant training.
