Job summary

Mercer is seeking an experienced Health Actuary Leader to join our Actuarial and Financial Consulting teams. This hybrid role can be located at any Mercer office across the United States, with a minimum of 3 days in the office.

The Sr. Principal Lead Health Actuary Consultant will manage health benefits projects, provide direction to analysts, and present findings to clients. Candidates should have a BA/BS in a relevant field and ASA/FSA credentials with 15+ years of actuarial experience.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in actuarial science, math, statistics, finance, economics or related field is required.
• 15+ years' experience in an actuarial field, consulting experience preferred.
• ASA or FSA credential required or pursuing credentials.

Responsibilities

• Lead client engagements focused on employers' health benefits strategies, including financial projections and renewal negotiations.
• Create deliverables and direct analysts and associates as primary client contacts.
• Present deliverables to clients in partnership with senior client team members.
• Review data analyses to ensure actuarial soundness and proper use of models.
