Job summary

Marsh is seeking an experienced Health Actuary Leader to join our Actuarial and Financial Consulting team in the US. This hybrid role requires in-office presence at least three days per week in our DC area offices.

As Sr. Principal Lead Health Actuary Consultant, you will manage client projects focusing on employers' health benefits strategies, including financial projections, plan design optimization, IBNP valuations, renewal negotiations, and presenting findings to clients.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in actuarial science, math, statistics, finance, economics or related field required.
• 15+ years' experience in an actuarial field, consulting experience preferred.
• ASA/FSA credential required.
• Strong analytical skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Proven project management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead routine client engagements including overall service delivery and renewal.
• Review analyses by junior staff to ensure actuarial soundness.
• Incorporate AI and technology-enabled tools in analyses.
• Perform complex cost projections using Excel, SAS and pricing models.
• Draft and review client reports and present findings to clients.
