Job summary

LMI Consulting, LLC seeks a Human-Centered Design Specialist IV - Technical Design to lead complex HCD workstreams for VA-related digital solutions. You will translate stakeholder needs into intuitive experiences and guide design for Power Platform dashboards, SharePoint, and related enterprise tools.

As a Level IV contributor, you will work with developers and technical teams, promote accessibility, and advance HCD practices within LMI and the VA portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human-Centered Design or related field.
• 7+ years of hands-on HCD/UX design experience.
• Lead complex digital product or enterprise-design efforts independently.
• Experience translating research into actionable design recommendations.
• Proficiency with modern design tools (Figma, XD, Sketch, Axure).
• Experience collaborating with software developers and technical teams.
• Understanding of Power Platform, SharePoint, dashboards, or similar tech.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end HCD activities for new technical solutions and major enhancements.
• Translate user needs into intuitive, accessible digital experiences.
• Design experiences including Power Platform, SharePoint, dashboards, and workflows.
• Develop information architectures, user flows, and interaction models.
• Create wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and design concepts.
• Provide design specifications and developer handoff materials.
• Collaborate with architects, analysts, and product owners to ensure feasibility.
