Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan is seeking a Truck Driver II for Shared Services to safely operate haul trucks that move materials from loading to processing areas at our open-pit operation. You will perform inspections and follow dispatch instructions to maximize equipment life and efficiency.

Preferred candidates have two years of mobile equipment experience and knowledge of CAT haul trucks; CDL experience is a plus. Training and mentoring of other operators may be required, with potential to operate other

Qualifications

• Two years of mobile equipment operating experience.
• Knowledge of engines, transmissions, final drives, and braking systems.
• Must pass safety training and written assessment if required.

Responsibilities

• Safely operates haul trucks transporting materials from loading areas to processing areas.
• Performs inspections to maximize equipment life and follows dispatch instructions.
• Assists with training and mentoring of other equipment operators.
• May operate other heavy equipment (e.g., water trucks, graders, dozers).
