Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan in Tyrone, NM seeks a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to support production at its open-pit copper mining complex. You will operate haul trucks, dozers, graders, excavators and loaders, perform pre-shift inspections, and assist with maintenance while following safety procedures.

Two years of mobile equipment operating experience is required, along with completing required training and passing assessments.

Qualifications

• Two years of mobile equipment operating experience.
• Must demonstrate safety aptitude and pass required assessments when applicable.
• Complete required training and pass any written assessments as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment (haul trucks, dozers, graders, loaders, excavators).
• Perform pre-shift inspections and basic maintenance tasks.
• Follow startup/shutdown, parking, LOTOTO and other safety procedures.
