K2 Space is building the largest and highest-power satellites; you will lead harness system design, wiring, testing and integration for Mega and Giga satellites. Collaborate with a cross-functional team to reduce cost and mass while enabling high-rate production and constellation launches.
In this role you will qualify hardware for flight, support avionics integration, and drive design trades to ensure rugged space hardware, meeting schedule demands for missions from LEO to GEO environments.
K2 is building the largest and highest-power satellites ever flown, unlocking performance levels previously out of reach across every orbit. Backed by over $1 billion in total funding from leading investors including Altimeter Capital, ICONIQ, Kleiner Perkins, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Redpoint Ventures, and T. Rowe Price — and with over $1 billion in signed contracts across commercial and US government customers, we're mass-producing the highest-power satellite platforms ever built for missions from LEO to deep space.
The rise of heavy-lift launch vehicles is shifting the industry from an era of mass constraint to one of mass abundance, and we believe this new era demands a fundamentally different class of spacecraft. Engineered to survive the harshest radiation environments and to fully capitalize on today's and tomorrow's massive rockets, K2 satellites deliver unmatched capability at constellation scale and across multiple orbits.
With multiple launches in 2027 and plans to scale to 100 satellites a year, we're Building Bigger — helping develop the solar system and build toward a Kardashev Type II (K2) civilization. If you are a motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and you're excited about contributing to the success of a high-growth Series D-funded company, we'd love for you to apply.
You willbe responsible forharness and wiringsystem design, analysis, testingand integration on some of the largest, most powerful, rapidlydesignedand manufactured satellites. You will have the unique opportunity tocollaboratewith a cross functional team of engineersand own tradesto reducecost, increaseintegrationrate, anddecreasemassof bus and payload harnessing. You will be the Responsible Engineer forharnesssystem design and components such as connectors, wire and cable, instrumentation, andheaters. You will helpestablishproduction testrequirementsand supportvehicleavionics integration to enablehigh-rateproduction andconstellation launch cadence. In your first two years, you will have qualified hardware for flight, completed avionics integration on the satellite bus, and flown yourhardware through intense LEO, MEO and GEO environments.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?
We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.
How do you know if you have a disability?
A disability is a condition that substantially limits one or more of your “major life activities.” If you have or have ever had such a condition, you are a person with a disability. Disabilities include, but are not limited to:
