Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC seeks a Hardware Test and Integration Manager to lead the PI-Team, overseeing Testing, Mechanical DVT, and Electromechanical Integration. You will define metrics, drive reliability testing, and ensure secure configuration control across hardware designs.

In this role you will hire and grow talent, set long-term direction, and negotiate priorities across disciplines to keep prototype hardware moving with quality and speed in a fast-paced aerospace

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Power Engineering, or a related field
• 10+ years of engineering team management experience
• Experience directly managing engineers/technicians including hiring and performance management
• Experience establishing engineering processes and operational-excellence mechanisms
• Experience driving hardware through DVT/PVT or equivalent in prototype or low-volume environments
• Experience creating and releasing hardware designs and documentation within a formal PLM structure

Responsibilities

• Manage the Testing, Mechanical DVT, and Electromechanical Integration functions of the PI-Team.
• Define metrics, goals, and long-term strategy for development, qualification, and reliability testing of prototype hardware.
• Direct electromechanical integration work—GSE, harnessing, PCB fabrication—setting workmanship standards.
• Own configuration control for hardware—ensure designs, drawings, BOMs, and test docs are released via PLM.
• Establish workflows, SLAs, and cross-pillar prioritization; negotiate resources across teams.
• Build and scale process-improvement and operational-excellence mechanisms across all functions.
• Partner with design, manufacturing, and program engineering upstream to influence hardware decisions.
• Serve as escalation point for cross-functional blockers and schedule delays.
