Job summary

Rivian Automotive in Palo Alto seeks an Electrical Hardware mechanical engineer to shape new products from concept to volume production and deliver world-class parts. You will lead test and evaluation for the sensor cleaning system on the L4 autonomous program and own the sensor cleaning lab, including equipment, QA, and data acquisition.

You will coordinate with design, ADAS, EE, and suppliers to drive root-cause analysis, implement design changes, and ensure robust DFMEA.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years in automotive or related fields; autonomy experience preferred.
• Solid fluid mechanics and aerodynamics fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Lead test and performance evaluation for sensor cleaning system on the L4 autonomous program.
• Own and operate the sensor cleaning lab, including equipment specification and test scheduling.
• Develop test plans and acceptance criteria tied to sensor cleanliness and perception availability.
