Job summary

Apptronik is seeking a Senior Hardware Test Engineer to lead verification of Apollo’s hardware, from components to the full mechatronic system. You will own the verification lifecycle, translating system requirements into test plans, developing fixtures, and guiding hands-on testing to ensure mechanical and electrical robustness before mass production.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in hardware design verification testing.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field

Responsibilities

• Map product and engineering requirements to verifiable test cases and validate critical metrics.
• Architect comprehensive Design Verification Test (DVT) plans for hardware hierarchy.
• Design, build, and commission custom electromechanical test fixtures with load cells and DAQ systems.
• Lead hands-on structural, thermal, mechatronic, and environmental test profiles.
• Write Python or C++ scripts to automate life-cycle and fatigue testing.
• Perform data analysis to validate design margins and predict component life expectancy.
• Participate in DFMEA discussions and provide empirical feedback to design teams.
