Job summary

Apptronik in Austin, TX, is seeking experienced senior electrical engineers to drive electronics development for the Apollo humanoid robot. You will design, test, and bring to mass production high-performance electronics for robotics, working with cross-functional teams.

Candidates should have strong hands-on hardware skills, experience with PCB design and PLM, and the ability to mentor junior engineers. This role involves travel and regulatory compliance work, with a path to impact real-world

Qualifications

• 4+ years of electrical engineering experience.
• Proven hardware design experience for mass production.

Responsibilities

• Own the development of complex electronic components and sub-systems.
• Design, simulate, implement, and test multi-layer PCBAs.
• Rapid prototyping of electrical systems at system and board levels.
• Simulate and verify electronics and electrical system requirements.
• Generate design documentation such as schematics, block diagrams, test plans and procedures, fabrication and assembly drawings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software, mechanical, thermal, systems, and manufacturing.
• Conduct performance benchmarking and power analysis to optimize hardware and thermal management.
• Develop and execute validation and test plans, and ensure regulatory compliance (FCC, CE, UL).
• Mentor junior engineers on hardware design, documentation, and troubleshooting.
• Manage 3rd party vendors and contract manufacturers.
