Job summary

Leonardo DRS in Connecticut is seeking a Senior Hardware Test Engineer to join the Test Engineering team. You will design, develop, and validate automated and manual test systems for embedded military hardware and assist with fixtures and test documentation.

The role requires 7+ years in electrical/test engineering, proficiency in LabVIEW and TestStand, and collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams. U.S. Citizenship and security clearance considerations apply.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• Experience designing and executing electrical/test engineering tasks on embedded systems.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Proficiency with LabVIEW/TestStand and related test environments.

Responsibilities

• Analyze embedded military systems to define and implement effective test methods
• Design and develop test environments, fixtures, and equipment
• Author and maintain detailed test procedures, reports, and documentation
• Plan, oversee, and execute qualification and production testing
• Provide Design for Testability input and support design reviews
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Test and provide necessary training
• Manage schedules, budgets, and status reporting for assigned tasks
• Specify and evaluate supplier components and test-related services
• Demonstrate strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills
• Work independently and collaboratively to meet technical, cost, and schedule goals.
