Job summary

The Senior Hardware Test Engineer at Leonardo DRS Naval Power Systems will join the Test Engineering team to design, develop, and validate automated and manual test systems for embedded hardware used in naval platforms.

You will create test procedures, reports, and fixtures for systems and circuit card assemblies, applying solid electronics knowledge and software programming skills to deliver reliable, cost-conscious test solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering required.
• Experience designing and validating test systems for embedded hardware.
• Strong electronics knowledge and software programming skills.
• Proven ability to collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and purchasing teams.
• Experience with LabVIEW/TestStand, MATLAB/Simulink, and Cameo is a plus.
• Familiar with EMI, vibration, and other product qualification testing.

Responsibilities

• Analyze embedded military systems to define test methods.
• Design and develop test environments, fixtures, and equipment.
• Author and maintain test procedures and reports.
• Plan and execute qualification and production testing.
• Provide Design for Testability input and support design reviews.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Test and provide training.
• Manage schedules, budgets, and status reporting.
• Evaluate supplier components and test-related services.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently or with the team.
• Work to meet technical, cost, and schedule goals.
