EPAM Systems in Austin has a senior role for a Test Automation Engineer focused on hardware and robotics. You will deploy and operate hardware test fixtures, run daily protocols, and troubleshoot complex components in consumer electronics used globally.

With a BS in engineering and strong Python debugging, you will work on robotics-enabled fixtures, shell scripting, and automation tools within a global engineering team dedicated to cutting-edge digital solutions.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer/Software/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong Python debugging and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing hardware faults, including electrical failures and mechanical modifications to test fixtures.
• Experience deploying and commissioning physical test fixtures with robotics or motion control systems.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and configure hardware test fixtures per automation specs including mechanical setup.
• Diagnose and repair hardware faults to restore operation quickly.
• Set up fixtures with robotics or motion control systems, ensuring calibration and functionality.
• Execute daily test protocols and monitor system performance for accuracy.
• Debug failures in electrical and mechanical components using systematic approaches.
• Perform device deployment, restoration, and configuration management for test equipment.
• Maintain lab operations and respond to open actions.
• Collaborate with cross-location engineering teams to run experiments and validate results.
