Job summary

Slip Robotics seeks a Senior Hardware Test Engineer to drive hardware validation from design to production. You will craft test plans, build automated testing systems, and guide manufacturing testing to ensure product quality.

Responsibilities include leading test development, mentoring junior engineers, and collaborating with design teams to resolve defects while staying current with robotics testing technologies. This position offers growth in a fast-paced robotics startup environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Robotics or related field.
  • 5+ years of hardware testing experience in product and manufacturing environments.
  • Proven hardware design principles and testing methodologies.
  • Experience with test automation and test-framework development.
  • Skilled with test equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Adaptable to a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement detailed test plans for hardware components and systems.
  • Create and oversee tests for the manufacturing team and production processes.
  • Utilize various test equipment to evaluate electronic systems and components.
  • Analyze test results to identify defects and work with engineering to fix issues.
  • Lead development of automated test systems to improve efficiency and coverage.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Document test procedures and results for clear communication with team.
  • Stay current with testing technologies and methodologies in robotics.
