Job summary

Lightmatter is hiring a Hardware Test Automation Engineer to build and maintain test software for bringing up photonic chips and validating production test on bench and automated test equipment. You will work with hardware and characterization engineers to translate device physics into robust test software and data pipelines.

You will design and implement test methods and flows, debug integration issues, and participate in releases across internal cells and external facilities in a hybrid lab

Qualifications

• :// Bachelors degree required; 8+ years in hardware test software/ATE or test architecture; semiconductor/photonics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn the hardware you're automating well enough to make informed software decisions about it.
• Design and build test software that automates device bring-up, characterization, and production test.
• Develop and maintain test methods, test flows, and instrument control code.
• Work with hardware and characterization engineers to translate device physics into test software.
• Build and maintain data logging and results pipelines for test data.
• Debug test hardware/software integration issues across device, fixture, instrument, and test code.
• Support test program releases to internal cells and external facilities.
• Communicate daily with the team and spend time in the lab hands-on with hardware.
