Blue Origin is seeking a Principal Hardware Systems Architect in Seattle, WA. In this role, you will define and lead the architecture for next-generation satellite user terminals, guiding a cross-functional engineering team to ensure high performance and cost-optimized products.

Ideal candidates should have a Master’s or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, with extensive experience in hardware engineering and a track record of high-volume manufacturing. You'll play a critical role in advancing satellite communication technology.

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a highly related technical field.
• 10+ years of hardware engineering experience.
• 4+ years acting as a Principal Systems Architect or Lead Architect.
• Deep technical understanding of phased array antenna physics.
• Proven track record of architecting hardware for high-volume manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end system block diagram, defining architecture and power distribution.
• Evaluate and select critical components for performance and cost-efficiency.
• Drive hardware development from architecture to manufacturing.
• Define thermal dissipation strategy and power delivery frameworks.
• Establish technical metrics and compliance strategies for deployment.
