Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Principal Hardware Engineer to lead the hardware design of the Network Switch Platform for the TeraWave satellite communications constellation. This role involves designing complex electronic products and ensuring integration at orbital scale.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, a strong background in hardware design, and over 10 years of relevant experience. We offer relocation assistance and a competitive salary range.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in hardware design, power electronics, or embedded systems in a product development environment.
• Experience designing multi-layer PCBs with high-speed digital interfaces.
• Hands-on experience designing and integrating high-speed Ethernet switch hardware.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end hardware design of the switching subsystem.
• Architect BMC subsystems using MPSoC, ARM, or RISC-V microprocessors.
• Architect high-reliability power distribution with autonomous sequencing.
