Blue Origin is seeking a Principal Hardware Systems Architect to define and lead the end-to-end architecture of a next‑generation satellite user terminal. You will own system‑level hardware across RF arrays, high‑speed digital processing, power systems, and mechanical integration.

You will drive the technical roadmap, make critical architectural trade-offs, and guide a cross‑functional engineering team to deliver a high‑performance, cost‑optimized product at scale.

Competenze

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 10+ years hardware engineering experience, including 4+ years as Principal Systems Architect or Lead Architect in complex wireless/satellite programs.
• Deep understanding of phased array antenna physics, digital beamforming, high-speed buses (PCIe/SerDes/Ethernet), and RF front-ends.
• Strong background in defining layout constraints for multi-layer mixed-signal boards with strict signal/power integrity and EMI containment.
• Proven track record in hardware for high-volume manufacturing, with knowledge of DFM/DFA and supply chain trade-offs.

Mansioni

• Own the end-to-end system block diagram, hardware architecture, power distribution, data pathways, and grounding for the user terminal.
• Evaluate and select critical components (SoCs, transceivers, memory, peripherals) balancing performance, power, and BOM cost.
• Serve as the primary technical anchor across RF, Electrical, Mechanical, and Embedded Software teams to resolve interfaces.
• Define thermal dissipation strategies and high-voltage power frameworks for high-power beamforming states.
• Drive hardware through lifecycle from architecture to mass manufacturing, collaborating with CM and suppliers to optimize yield and costs.
• Establish technical metrics, validation plans, and compliance strategies for international wireless deployment (FCC/CE/ETSI).
