Blue Origin is seeking a Principal Hardware Systems Architect to define end-to-end hardware architecture for the next-generation satellite user terminal. You will own system-level design across RF antenna arrays, high-speed processing, power systems, and mechanical integration, guiding cross-functional teams to deliver a high-performance, cost-optimized product at scale.

Lead trade studies, select main SoCs and transceivers, define thermal and power strategies, and ensure manufacturing readiness

Qualifications

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of hardware engineering with 4+ years as Principal Architect delivering complex wireless/satellite products.
• Deep understanding of phased arrays, digital beamforming, RF front-ends.
• Experience designing for high-volume manufacturing and cost optimization.
• Strong signal/power integrity and EMI containment expertise.

Responsibilities

• Define end-to-end hardware architecture for the user terminal.
• Select critical components including main SoCs and transceivers.
• Coordinate RF, Electrical, Mechanical, and Embedded Software teams.
• Define thermal and high-voltage power strategies for beamforming.
• Guide product lifecycle from architecture to mass manufacturing with CM partners.
• Establish metrics, validation plans, and compliance for international deployment (FCC/CE/ETSI).
