Job summary

Alert Venture Foundry in Massachusetts is seeking a seasoned Technical Program Manager to lead hardware-driven ventures. You will own integrated program plans, milestones, dependencies, staffing, and risk across multiple projects in a resource-constrained environment.

You will work closely with lead engineers, translate plans into staffing, run weekly reconciliations, apply PMO cadences, and drive decisions to keep schedules on track while communicating program health to executives.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in technical program or project management in hardware/robotics.
• Own end-to-end program plans in fast-moving, resource-constrained environments.
• Drive cross-functional milestones without direct authority.
• Read mechanical, electrical, software and controls dependencies for sequencing.
• Build or standardize PMO processes, templates, cadences, and reporting.
• Communicate with engineers with low ego while holding leads accountable.
• Proficient with Jira, SharePoint, Confluence and tracking truths beyond spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Own integrated program plan for one or more ventures, including milestones and staffing.
• Run weekly plan reconciliation with Lead Engineer and ensure accountability to your plan.
• Apply PMO cadence: 4-Quad status, reviews, risk registers, and phase gates.
• Track cross-program dependencies and surface conflicts early.
• Translate plans into staffing requirements for portfolio-wide forecasting.
• Understand system architecture and challenge schedule assumptions on technical grounds.
• Identify schedule threats and drive recovery options with the team.
• Contribute to executive-facing portfolio health views and resource needs.
