Job summary

Humanoid in Massachusetts is seeking a Technical Program Manager to own the planning and execution of robotics development programs, coordinating hardware and software efforts across Boston, Vancouver, and London.

You will manage a portfolio focused on hardware development, aligning systems, safety, mechanical, firmware, software, and AI/ML teams while leading through influence with dispersed engineers and stakeholders.

Qualifications

3+ years of relevant post-graduate experience as a project or program manager leading hardware new product development.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field relevant to robotics or engineering.
Technical background in development of complex systems integrating hardware, firmware, and software.
Strong understanding of mechanical and hardware development processes for scalable manufacturing.
Experience working in highly cross-functional engineering environments.
Proficiency with multiple program management methodologies and tools.
Proven ability to create structure and clarity in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple complex workstreams simultaneously.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, both synchronous and asynchronous.
Demonstrated ability to lead through influence across diverse teams.
Ability to remain calm, structured, and effective under pressure, including with executive stakeholders.
Strong ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts.
Systems-thinking mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.
Willingness to work early hours as needed to collaborate with teams in London.

Responsibilities

Own the end-to-end planning and execution of a portfolio of projects in a robot new product introduction program, where you’ll be accountable for scope, schedule, cost, and process.
Drive execution: track and motivate program progress end-to-end and proactively mitigate blockers.
Lead people and stakeholders: build alignment and secure commitments across distances and cultures.
Bring judgment: apply systems thinking and technical judgment to guide teams.
Embody the culture: contribute to the program’s success and influence across the team.
