Job summary

Pano AI, a leader in AI-powered wildfire detection, is seeking an experienced Senior Hardware Product Manager. You will own the definition and execution of new hardware products, from concept through production and field deployment.

You will work embedded with hardware engineering, align stakeholders, and ensure products ship to spec, on time, and ready for field deployment. This role suits a seasoned PM thriving in fast-paced startup environments.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of product management experience with focus on hardware products (cameras, sensors, IoT devices).
• Experience taking hardware from concept to mass production, including EVT/DVT/PVT cycles.
• Strong ability to own PRDs and hardware specifications in cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with BOM cost management and supply chain tradeoffs.
• Proven autonomous, startup-grade execution with multiple concurrent workstreams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, able to translate hardware details for non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own requirements and hardware specifications for hardware NPI initiatives, starting with flagship camera.
• Collaborate with hardware engineering, quality, and manufacturing to prioritize tradeoffs.
• Lead customer and field discovery to translate insights into actionable specs.
• Work with supply chain and contract manufacturers to ensure manufacturability and scalability.
• Drive NPI milestones: EVT, DVT, PVT, and go/no-go decisions with leadership.
• Define hardware acceptance criteria, test coverage, and field pilot metrics.
• Coordinate with software/AI teams for firmware and platform integration aligned with hardware milestones.
• Manage BOM costs and drive cost-reduction opportunities.
• Establish and improve NPI playbooks with templates and gates.
• Present hardware roadmap status and risks to senior leadership.
