Job summary

Pano AI in San Francisco is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to drive end-to-end capabilities across the stack, building scalable, secure production systems that impact wildfire response.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years hands-on experience, with server-side Java, and proficiency in TypeScript/React, Python, SQL (PostgreSQL), cloud platforms (GCP/AWS), and modern DevOps practices including Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD. You'll collaborate across teams to deliver high-quality software.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on software engineering experience.
• 3+ years in fast-paced SaaS environments.
• Server-side Java with modern frameworks (Spring).
• Proficiency in SQL, PostgreSQL, and ORMs.
• Frontend expertise with JavaScript/TypeScript, CSS3, HTML5, and React.
• Ability to design scalable systems and troubleshoot complex issues.
• Strong communication and cross-team collaboration.
• Preferred: cloud platforms (GCP/AWS), Docker/Kubernetes, SOC2/ISO 27001 awareness.

Responsibilities

• Work across the full stack to build scalable solutions with positive impact.
• Develop new features, tools, frameworks, and workflows for evolving needs.
• Drive projects from conception to deployment.
• Ensure performance, uptime, security, and code quality.
• Operate in an agile environment with learning and on-call responsibilities.
• Create runbooks, metrics, and dashboards for monitoring.
