Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Lead Hardware Engineer for our ladar product line. You will own hardware architecture across mechanical, electrical, optical, and test disciplines, and lead the transition from prototypes to high-rate production.

Role includes leading a small team, developing HW for EO/IR applications, and maintaining V+V metrics while coordinating with engineering leadership to scale and sustain hardware in production.

Qualifications

• Degree in a technical field such as mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, optical engineering, systems engineering, physics, or a hard science.

Responsibilities

• Define hardware architecture and select components across mechanical, electrical, optical, and test disciplines.
• Transition hardware from prototypes to high-rate production in an EMD environment.
• Lead milestones and acceptance reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, MRR) for hardware.
• Own NPI hardware development and coordinate EDU/EMD-1 builds for field testing.
• Design and ruggedize test equipment for automated production testing.
• Define and monitor hardware V+V metrics for reliability in extreme environments.
• Collaborate with Chief Engineer and engineering leads to ensure staffing and capability.
• Drive hardware CI and CRB processes and rapid issue resolution.
