Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Lead Hardware Engineer for the ladar product line. You will own hardware architecture across mechanical, electrical, optical, and test disciplines and guide the system from prototypes through EDUs to scaled production.

You will lead a small team, conduct trade studies for EO/IR architectures, and ensure hardware readiness for field testing and DVT. Travel to test sites and manufacturing facilities is required.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience directing cross-functional hardware teams.
• Willingness to travel to test sites and manufacturing facilities.
• Ability to obtain and hold a U.S. security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Own hardware architecture across mechanical, electrical, optical, and test disciplines.
• Lead transition of hardware from prototype to high-rate production (EMD).
• Drive hardware readiness reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, MRR) and NPI coordination.
• Oversee assembly, integration, and field testing for EDU and EMD-1 builds.
• Design and ruggedize test equipment for automated production testing.
• Define and track hardware V&V metrics for reliability in extreme environments.
• Collaborate with Chief Engineer and functional leads on staffing and roadmap.
• Own continuous hardware improvement and CRB processes.
