Job summary

Anduril Industries in Boulder, CO is seeking a hands-on Systems Engineer to transition a Ladar product from EDU to EMD and into high-rate production, scaling build capacity to tens of units per month. You will bridge design and manufacturing, lead testing campaigns, and help mature hardware and software for TRL readiness.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hardware-centric systems engineering with EO/Ladar or high-precision pointing systems.
• Experience transitioning systems from low TRL to production-ready with DFM/UUT focus.
• Strong familiarity with DVT campaigns, environmental testing, and field tests.
• Knowledge of test equipment ruggedization and test automation concepts.
• Experience leading CDR, MRR, or PRR type milestone reviews.
• Excellent cross-disciplinary communication across optical, mechanical, electrical, firmware, software and manufacturing.
• Proficiency in MATLAB and Python for data analysis and modeling.
• Lab skills including design of experiments and lab testing.
• Willing to travel to test sites as required.
• Ability to obtain and hold a U.S. security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Drive EDU-to-EMD transition and ensure EDU builds are ready for field testing.
• Design and execute a comprehensive DVT campaign to qualify the system.
• Lead preparation for CDR and MRR with verified documentation and matrices.
• Scale production by applying DFM principles and ruggedizing test equipment.
• Architect and implement test automation and integrate software with hardware test flows.
• Develop physics-based models of sensor performance and validate with data.
• Support both lab-based and field experiments and demonstrations.
