Teradyne in Agoura Hills, CA, is seeking a Sr. Electrical Design Engineer to join our Digital Instrumentation team. You will lead a skilled hardware group, driving digital circuit design, PCB layout, and cross‑functional collaboration to build state‑of‑the‑art test and measurement instruments.

This player/coach role blends leadership with hands‑on engineering. You’ll mentor engineers, set goals, oversee schedules, and ensure reliability and manufacturability while advancing Teradyne’s reputation

Qualifications

• 7+ years hands-on hardware engineering experience.
• 3+ years in a leadership role, ideally player/coach.
• Strong understanding of electrical principles, circuit design, and signal integrity.
• Experience with hardware debugging tools (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters).
• Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in hardware design, testing, and QA.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of hardware engineers, providing technical guidance and architectural direction.
• Oversee PCB layout, schematic design, and component selection to meet performance and manufacturability standards.
• Oversee hardware development projects from concept to production with timely delivery and quality.
• Collaborate with firmware, software, and mechanical engineering for aligned project execution.
• Define strategic direction of digital instrumentation and drive continuous improvement.
